The 2026 competition is open for entries.
ENTRY IS BY POST OR BY ENTERING YOUR DETAILS AND UPLOADING YOUR STORY BELOW.
Your contact details are needed to inform short-listed entrants of their success, but will not be shared with any other organisation, although we may use them to you to remind you about the competition next year.
We are currently offering an ‘Early Bird’ rate of £6 for entries submitted by 31st March 2026.
Entries made after this date will be charged at the regular rate of £8 per story.

If entering by post, please enclose a cheque for the correct sum (£6 per story for entries posted before 31 March, £8 per story for entries posted 1 April onwards).
Cheques should be payable to FROME FESTIVAL SHORT STORY COMPETITION.
If you require a critique, please add the appropriate fee (£70 per story critiqued) to your total.
